Landmark Industries in India

Since industrialisation, India has been home to several well-designed manufacturing facilities that showcase innovative factory architecture, efficient layout, and advanced technology integration. Here are five examples of some of the best-designed manufacturing facilities in India:

Triton Valves:

The facility of Triton Valves at Mysuru, Karnataka, is a milestone unit in that area. They manufacture valves for the automotive sector. The state-of-the-art facility has a sustainable facility compliant with Industry 4.0 requirements. Additionally, optimising efficiency, safety, and sustainability were the factors in the mind of the architects while designing.

The Schindler India facility in Chakan, Maharashtra, is a landmark building. They manufacture escalators and elevators. The facility is IGBC Platinum certified. The multiple units inside the Schindler premises are sustainable. Furthermore, this factory provides a good example of aesthetics and technology together.

Rockman Industries:

The Rockman Industries factory at Pagali Village at Andhra Pradesh is a landmark project. The factory meets the Industry 4.0 criteria. The rooftop solar system, rainwater harvesting, and zero discharge facility all ensure sustainable operations in the factory. Moreover, the louvers lined throughout the length of the shop floor provide an ambient atmosphere for the workers.

Avgol:

The Avgol Nonwovens facility at Halol, Gujarat manufactures nonwovens and caters to the hygiene industry. Additionally, the unit is green-certified and FM global-approved. The layout ensures a smooth and efficient process flow.

These five factories have been selected from a list of multiple other industries. The selection of these is based on certain criteria. These industries highlight how aesthetics and sustainability are possible in the industrial sector. The factories mentioned above have optimised space, daylighting, renewable energy, rainwater harvesting, good ventilation and a green design.  Additionally, the factory architecture design has been optimised for the project.
